If you own a small or medium-sized Canadian business, there is a grant you might be very interested in. Actually, there are two – Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP) opportunities. CDAP’s mission is to close the digitization gap between Canadian businesses and their competitors.
CDAP is specifically designed to help small to medium-sized Canadian businesses excel in a digital world by utilizing digital tools to become more competitive and profitable.

The first grant you can apply for is the “Grow Your Business Online Grant”.
You can get up to $2400 to grow your business online. This is intended to help with costs related to adopting digital technologies, such as:
- implement and/or manage your social media
- implement and/or manage an email newsletter program
- improve overall digital communications
- getting online (a website)
- increasing sales (adding commerce to an existing website)
- or a combination of the above

If you’re wondering what it would look like to receive $2400 to get more active and consistent with your social media, consider this:
Our Bronze social media package is only $329/month (as at February 2023). This provides you with three days per week of professionally designed and written social media posts relevant to your business marketing goals. $2400 would cover that expense for 7 months. If you wanted to add a monthly newsletter to that plan, $2400 would cover both for about 5 months.
The second grant you can apply for is the “Boost Your Business Technology Grant”
This is designed to transform your technology to improve performance and your bottom line. You can apply for this one if:
- you are the owner or director of the business
- the business is Canadian-owned and a for-profit business
- has 1-499 employees
- has $500,000 in annual revenue in 1 of the last 3 years.
This grant is intended to reduce overhead costs, speed up transactions, improve communications, manage inventory more efficiently and improve supply chain logistics. It’s a four-step application process.

The BDC 0% interest loan
If you’re ready to move forward on your digital adoption plan but don’t have the necessary cash flow, you can apply for a BDC loan of up to $100,000 with 0% interest.
Need staff?
Hire a post-secondary student or recent graduate through a subsidized work placement. If you need help with your digital adoption goals, you can receive up to $7,300 in wage subsidy.
